Wild Items Are Occurring: The Artwork of Maurice Sendak opens to the public on Friday, October 21 and is on view right up until March 5, 2023.

Wild Points Are Happening: The Artwork of Maurice Sendak will be the very first significant retrospective of Sendak since his death in 2012, and the premier and most entire exhibition of one of the most celebrated and authentic artists of our time. The exhibition is structured by the Columbus Museum of Art in conjunction with The Maurice Sendak Foundation.

The exhibition is comprised of additional than 150 sketches, storyboards, and paintings by Sendak drawn from the selection of The Maurice Sendak Foundation. Highlights involve first function for Sendak’s most popular books: Wherever the Wild Issues Are, In the Night time Kitchen, and Outside the house Above There. Sendak was motivated by writers ranging from William Shakespeare to Herman Melville.
