Apalachee Art Magnet School students presented ‘Willy Wonka’

Apalachee Tapestry Magnet School students performed "Willy Wonka" after teachers and students read several books by Roald Dahl. Auditions were held for all parts available for students Pre K through fifth grade

Apalachee Tapestry Magnet College of the Arts (ATMSA) was established in 1999 as Leon County’s to start with elementary magnet college.  

ATMSA was the dream of 6 local academics, art instructor Pam Brewster, first-grade trainer Debby Bennett, Fantastic Pupil Training teacher Tracy Dennis, third-quality teacher Frances Homme, artwork instructor Cheryl Meighan and 2nd-quality teacher Karen Noel.

These 6 lecturers concluded the analysis, traveled to see other Artwork Magnet colleges in the Southeast and confident the university board to approve the plan. Principal Ross Witherspoon graciously agreed to property the program at Apalachee Elementary.
