Winter Art Camp (Ages 6–8): Art & Ecology

In this mixed media course, acquire inspiration from artists on perspective who adore mother nature and want to secure the setting. You are going to sculpt, paint, and draw with artist Beatriz Jaramillo.

About the Instructor

Beatriz Jaramillo’s function addresses the landscape as metaphor and modality, highlighting the tensions manufactured by the artificial separation in between mother nature and tradition, and, in the system, inviting the viewer to rethink their fractured marriage with mother nature. Beatriz examined High-quality Arts in her native Colombia, and, in Los Angeles, she acquired an MA in Art Schooling and an MFA in Studio Artwork with emphasis in Sculpture/Ceramics. With her perform, the artist integrates artwork, science, and technological know-how with neighborhood participation, in get to encourage meaningful dialogues about environmental concerns. Her artwork has been exhibited in various galleries and museums in the United states of america and Colombia. She also has served as a training artist at LACMA and the Norton Simon Museum, as properly as a college member at Cal State College, as a Ceramic Instructor.
